Projects
The Foundation’s past work has been focused on assisting children, people with disabilities, and on improving arts and cultural opportunities in the community at large.
Some of our selected projects over the years.
Children’s Medical Aid
Orange County, NY
We support families navigating serious medical challenges—especially those with children facing chronic or terminal conditions—by helping them access the resources, care, and mobility they need to focus on what matters most.
Suicide Prevention Talks
Orange County, NY and beyond
In partnership with the Family Empowerment Council and Sean Giroux, we support suicide prevention and mental health education in schools. While focused on Orange County, our team has also presented in other regions—including a recent program at the American School in Switzerland.
Inclusive Storybook Project
Orange County, NY
We supported the publishing and distribution of Not Too Big, Not Too Small, Just Right for Me, a children’s book that promotes awareness of dwarfism. Hundreds of copies were shared with local schools and libraries to foster empathy and inclusion.
Inclusive Playground Project
Montgomery, NY
We helped fund and build Sally’s Dream Playground—an inclusive space where children of all physical abilities can play together. The playground promotes accessibility, community, and joyful recreation for all families.
Technology Training for Young Mothers
Newburgh, NY
We funded a workforce development program at the local YWCA to provide young single mothers with digital and technical skills. The initiative helps open pathways to higher-paying careers and long-term self-sufficiency.
Student-Written Mental Health Play
Orange and Sullivan Counties, NY
We helped fund and stage Letters to Daddy, a play focused on youth mental wellness. In partnership with Bethel Woods, the performance reached local high school audiences, encouraging open dialogue and emotional resilience through the arts.
Cancer Wing Support
Orange County, NY
We contributed to Garnet Health Medical Center (formerly Orange Regional) to support their cancer wing and improve care for patients in our community. Our donation helped enhance treatment resources and comfort for those undergoing cancer care.
Katrina Relief Supplies
New Orleans, LA and surrounding areas
Following Hurricane Katrina, we delivered tents, sleeping bags, and emergency gear to those displaced. When initial supplies fell short, we secured an additional $100,000 from the New York Mercantile Exchange to expand relief efforts and provide critical resources.
Soup Kitchen Rebuild
Biloxi, MS
After Hurricane Katrina, we helped rebuild a firehouse in New Orleans, providing firefighters with a safe and functional base after operating out of temporary vehicles. The project ensured access to food, rest, and shelter during ongoing recovery efforts.
